Sydney Uni Boxing's Nick Guesnon and Billy Tang fight at Dee Why RSL
And that's a wrap for Dee Why last night.
Of our two boys last night, Billy Tang was on first against Milan from Redfern PCYC. Was initially scheduled as an exo but as Billy had come down in weight both sides decided to make it a fight. In a tough fight Milan got the first round but Billy came back strong in the second, even putting an eight count on his opponent. With the fight in the balance, both boys gave it their all but Milan just came home a bit stronger.
Well done to Billy, especially considering it was his first fight in five years and Milan has been very active for the last year or two.
The second fight was a barnstormer to say the least. Fighting a very tough and skilled fighter out of Canberra, Nick used his height and footwork to get the first two rounds even putting an eight count on the opponent in the second. The third was as thrilling as you could get with Nicks opponent getting the better of him in that round but he'd done enough to secure the win.
All in all a great night with Tremayne helping as assistant coach for the first time. His skill at drinking beer was impressive to say the least.
